Stating he cannot afford it. That as long as his teeth are nice and if he died tomorrow nothing would matter. I know it is expensive but he does have insurance. It wont pay for much but at least he has it. Should I give him an ultimatum? Like tell him you got so long or we are through. I just can't take it anymore. We dont kiss anymore. It just grosses me out. He just does not get it.My boyfriend of 9 years has really bad teeth and needs to get them pulled and get false teeth. He is refusing.?
My sister is going through a similar situation. And, as a matter of fact, she actually did just give her husband an ultimatum... and dealing with his oral care was on the list. Their sex life has become a chore, simply because it disgusts my sister to even look at his mouth, let alone have to kiss it. The shitty thing for them is that they DON';T have insurance... and they don't have the money to put aside for dental care (plus he's hugely dental phobic).
Maybe put it to him this way...
oral diseases are caused by bacteria... just like any other bacteria, this can be passed from one person to another (you) through saliva... EWW!! Tell him that if he loves you he needs to take care of the infections in his mouth. My boyfriend of 9 years has really bad teeth and needs to get them pulled and get false teeth. He is refusing.?
Is your boyfriend a friggin country bumpkin that doesn't brush his teeth or something?
How can you kiss that nasty Bih with his mouth malfunction getting all nasty.
how old are you guys btw? c'mon now
Dont let him. False teeth mold.
9 years? so hes 9....?
Dental hygiene is not only important for looks but can also greatly affect his health. You might want to mention that. Also if you do like the guy than it might put a strain on your relationship if you tell him his teeth are disgusting.
Contrary to what the other guy said, if done right, 'fake teeth' or dental implants do not rot. However there are risks involved with getting your teeth done that you should look into (it is not as simple as you might think)
also the ideal candidate for a dental implant is in good general and oral health. Adequate bone in your jaw is needed to support the implant, and the best candidates have healthy gum tissues that are free of periodontal disease.
Dental implants are intimately connected with the gum tissues and underlying bone in the mouth. Since periodontists are the dental experts who specialize in precisely these areas, they are ideal members of your dental implant team. Not only do periodontists have experience working with other dental professionals, they also have the special knowledge, training and facilities that you need to have teeth that look and feel just like your own. Your dentist and periodontist will work together to make your dreams come true.
Good luck with your boyfriend...hopefully he takes the hint and doesn't turn into an ex-boyfriend
