False.

Folk songs are have an identifiable sound. A good country song has a narrative. EG. You know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em. Know when to walk away, know when to run!!!!

Bri ; )TRUE OR FALSE!......... need your help :)?
True. I mean, listen to Martyn Bennett, or some of the old songs from northern England (the Bothy culture). They are telling a story in some of those songs. The songs tell of a time, some back to the World Wars, some even further back.

Also, I think everyone knows that if you want to trace the American ballads, you need to look into the Celtic ballads of Ireland, Scotland and England.
Yes and no.

If you mean Folk songs ALWAYS have etc. etc., then the answer is false.

If you mean folk songs OFTEN have etc. etc. then the answer is true.
You're in the wrong category,

Oddly enough, I was listening to Billy Bragg on the way to Bible study tonight.
