How do people become comfortable with who they are?
Is the feeling of needing to hide behind a false identity true for teens today? ?
Someone once said ( i think it was Shakespeare) ';People are actors and the world is a stage';. The truth is not only true it is also what you make others believe. Being yourself can be boring, pretending to be what your not is ok and can be fun. Being a fibber and a cheat is bad but having a image is not.Is the feeling of needing to hide behind a false identity true for teens today? ?
you musnt generalize people, ESPECIALLY ';teens';. it's just as true for some people as it isn't for others. some people are open, others aren't.
people can become comfortable with themselves only through realization and acceptance. accepting that it was meant to be, and realizing there is nothing wrong with who ever they are.
oh most certainly. usually one ';finds'; who they are when they mature. meaning when theyve become an educated responsible adult. many teens feel the need to conform or rebel. either doing what everyone else does to fit in or doing the opposite to attract attention. either way they arent trying to be themselves, they want to be the center of attention and are trying to get friends so as not to be ';alone';
